Colorado Springs, CO- Announced on Friday afternoon by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), the Montclair State University field hockey team saw three of its student-athletes earn the status of Scholars of Distinction for their efforts on the field and in the classroom through the 2025 fall semester.

The NFHCA recognizes 543 exceptional undergraduate student-athletes as 2025 Division III Scholars of Distinction. This honor celebrates student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

Representing the Red Hawks on the list were
EMMA BIANCO,
KARINA CRACCHIOLO, and
BELLA HEISER.

Bianco, a physical education major with a 3.97 GPA, started all 17 games for Montclair and played a pivotal role on the defensive end. She also scored five points with two goals and an assist and had the team's lone defensive save of the season against DeSales.

Cracchiolo earns this honor after playing in seven games this season and earning a 3.91 GPA as a communication and media studies major.

Heiser holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Jurisprudence/Law & Society major and played all 17 games and made 16 starts last season. She totaled a goal and an assist for 3 points last season.

All three of them earn this honor for the second year in a row.
