Pitman, NJ- Announced on Thursday morning by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, the Montclair State University field hockey team was tabbed for a fourth-place finish in 2026, according to the Coaches' Preseason Poll.

Rowan, who went 16-6 and 6-0 in NJAC play in 2025, is once again the favorite to win the NJAC and has done so over the past five seasons. Montclair finished fifth last year with a 5-12 (2-4 NJAC) record.
Montclair is set for its first contest on Tuesday, September 1, when it welcomes Cortland for a 3:00 p.m. contest. This will be the fourth straight year the Red Hawks face the Dragons to open the season.
