Pitman, NJ- Announced on Friday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, the Montclair State University football team is slated to finish fifth this season according to the 2025 NJAC Coaches Preseason Poll.
 
Below are the projected standings for the 2025 season:

2. CNU (1)
3. Rowan (1) (dark horse)
4. TCNJ
5. Montclair State
6. Kean
7. William Paterson
8. Vermont State-Castleton

 
Salisbury enters as the top team to beat after winning the NJAC last season and five of the last six years.
 
Montclair State, in 2024, finished 3-7 overall and 1-5 in NJAC play.
 
The Red Hawks kick off the 2025 campaign on the road at Merchant Marine on Friday, September 5, at 6:00 pm.
