New York, NY - Montclair State University Men's Basketball senior
JACOB MORALES was named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Men's Player of the Week. The honor marked the third time in his Montclair career that he has received the recognition.
Morales led the way in scoring for both of Montclair's victories last week, averaging 26.5 points during the stretch. When the Red Hawks took down NJCU 98-85 on Wednesday, February 11, he poured in 28 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the floor, connecting on a season-high seven three-pointers. Morales followed that up on Saturday with 25 points and eight rebounds as the Red Hawks downed Kean 79-55 on Senior Day.
The forward ranks fourth in the New Jersey Athletic Conference in scoring and leads the league in three-points at 80 for the season, a mark that is tied for third-best in the nation. He has played an integral part in Montclair's unbeaten start to the season that has shot them up to number one in the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll for the first time in program history.
The Red Hawks will close out the 2025-26 regular season on Wednesday, February 18 against The College of New Jersey. Tip-off from Ewing, NJ is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
