Montclair hosted Mount Saint Mary (NY) on Saturday, where they routed the Knights by a score of 59-6. The Knights got the ball first, but tossed an interception to
GIANNAMARIE GREENHALGH on the second play of the game. Her interception gave Montclair possession at the MSM 13, where
EMILY DEL ROSARIO took the first carry and bounced it outside for a touchdown and put Montclair up 6-0. Following a Knights' punt,
HADDIYAH BELL uncorked a deep ball to
SERENITY MUHAMMED and connected for a 40-yard touchdown and scored the extra point for a 13-0 lead. In a drive that went into the second quarter, the Knights put together a solid drive of 10 plays and 37 yards, but were halted at the MSU 23. The Red Hawks countered with a nine-play, 51-yard drive that was capped off with a seven-yard score from
GENEVIEVE FARA to take a 19-0 lead, one they took into the second half. On the first possession of the third quarter, Bell fired another deep ball downfield that fell right into the arms of a striding Greenhalgh for a 51-yard touchdown catch and pushed the Red Hawk lead to 26-0.
NYLEA UNDERWOOD made her presence felt on the next two drives for Montclair. She scored a 22-yard run on her first carry of the game and then came back for a 17-yard scamper on the next possession that made the score 39-0. After another Red Hawk stop on defense, they scored again on a 10-play, 48-yard drive that was finished off with a 5-yard touchdown run by
SOFIA DEL GROSSO. Mount Saint Mary finally broke through for a score. An 8-play, 66-yard drive was finished off with a 22-yard touchdown reception and put the Knights on the board, 52-6.
LILY AGBANA finished off a high-octane day for the offense. She carried the ball two times consecutive times before she got her third carry, which she took and weaved through multiple Knight defenders for a 44-yard score that capped off a 59-6 victory for Montclair.

SCOUTING KEAN
The Cougars enter this contest with a 4-5 overall record and a 4-3 record in the ECAC. In their last mathcup, they were bested by LIU, 7-0 on Thursday. Kean is also in its inaugural season.

This will be the second time these programs face off. The second time this season as well.

The Red Hawks hosted the Cougars last Monday, April 6, where Montclair shut down Kean, 26-0.
