BRI CARTER made history on Tuesday afternoon, becoming the first player in program history to earn a weekly award as the Eastern College Athletic Conference's (ECAC) Defensive Player of the Week for her performances this past Saturday.
Carter continued her dominance as a rusher during Montclair's 2-0 week in ECAC competition. Carter totaled 14 flag pulls, 10 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. Six of her nine sacks came during a 19-0 win against Wagner on Saturday.
Montclair enters the ECAC Tournament this weekend as the conference's first-ever top-seed. They will get a free trip to the semifinals, which will be played on Sunday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m. If they win, they will play for the conference championship later that day at 2:00 p.m.
