Women’s Swimming & Diving Stamps Four Student-Athletes to CSC Academic All-District Team

 
Montclair, NJ- Announced on Tuesday afternoon by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization, four student-athletes from Montclair State University women's swimming & diving were stamped to this season's Academic All-District team.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
 
In order to be eligible for the All-District team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have competed in 75 percent of our team competitions, OR finished top-eight at a conference meet, OR participated in a national championship.
 
Representing the Red Hawks on this year's list were CATTY GEYER, ROURKE PERALTA, MADELINE ROGERS, and MARIANNE TASSINARI.
 
Geyer, a marine biology and coastal sciences major with a 3.85 GPA, was an every-meet competitor for Montclair. Geyer swam multiple events for Montclair this season and led the team in the 200 free this season, as well as contributed to multiple team best relays. Individually, she placed top 15 at the NJAC Championships in three individual events: 100 free (12th, 54.15), 200 fly (12th, 2:14.64), and 200 IM (15th, 2:14.43). She also contributed to a fifth-place finish in the 400 free relay and a sixth-place finish in the 800 free relay. Geyer finishes her career with a record in the 800 free relay and three All-NJAC honors.
 
Peralta earns this honor after competing in every meet and garnering a 3.97 GPA as an Educational Foundations major. Peralta was once again phenomenal, leading the team in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and contributing to multiple team-best relay times. She nabbed Second Team All-NJAC accolades with her silver-medal finish in the 50 free (23.48), which was also an NCAA "B" cut time. She also nabbed a fifth-place finish in the 100 fly (58.01) and a sixth-place finish in the 100 free (53.03). Rourke also contributed to a fourth-place finish in the 200 free relay and fifth-place finishes in the 200 medley, 400 medley, and 400 free relays. Peralta finishes her legendary Red Hawk career, earning 15 All-NJAC recognitions throughout her career. She finishes with three First Team, four Second Team, and eight Honorable Mentions. She has also put her name on six school records.
 
Rogers was an every-meet swimmer for Montclair and holds a 3.83 GPA as a psychology major. She was phenomenal once again in the butterfly events, leading the team in the 50, 100, and 200 fly events. At the NJAC Championships, she earned two top-10 finishes, earning fourth in the 200 fly (2:11.63) and ninth in the 100 fly (57.95). She also contributed to a fourth-place finish in the 200 free relay and a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 200 and 400 medley relays. Rogers wrapped up her Red Hawk career with four All-NJAC accolades and four school records.
 
Tassinari rounds off the list as an every-meet competitor and has a 3.65 GPA as a social media and public relations major. She led the team this season in the 200 breaststroke and the 200 and 400 individual medley events. She earned top-eight finishes in all her individual events at the NJAC Championships. She notched fifth in the 400 IM (4:35.38), sixth in the 200 IM (2:10.14), and seventh in the 200 breast (2:24.42). She also contributed to a trio of fifth-place finishes in the 400 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay. She finishes her Red Hawk career with three All-NJAC honors and three school records.

Peralta earns Academic All-District for the third year in a row, Rogers earns it for the second time, and Geyer and Tassinari earn their first appearance on the list.
 
Women's swimming and diving finished with a 7-3 overall record in its regular-season meets and finished fifth out of 10 teams with 796 points at the NJAC Championship.
