Gonzalez, named MSU Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, set single-game and single-season records for three-point field goals helping Montclair State remain alive for a berth in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament during a 100-83 victory over Kean last Saturday. Gonzalez matched his season high with 29 points, including nine three-point field goals while shooting 10-of-15 from the floor, 9-of-14 from behind the arc. Gonzalez broke the single-game mark for three-point field goals set by Maurice Torres at Rutgers-Camden in 2006 and also surpassed Torres' season mark of 57 set during the 2005-06 campaign. Gonzalez, who averaged 15.5 points and four rebounds during the two-game week for MSU, currently ranks 16th in the NJAC in scoring at 13.3 points per game and is third in three-point field goals with 58.
