Struss was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after helping the No. 3 Red Hawks get off to a 2-0 start for the fourth consecutive season as Montclair knocked off both Eastern and RPI at home over the weekend. Struss, who tallied three points and six points her first two collegiate games, keyed a five-goal, second-half run by the MSU turning a 2-1 halftime lead into a seven-goal advantage in an eventual 8-2 win over Eastern. Struss collected the first two goals of her career scoring five minutes apart during the run extending MSU's lead to 5-1 at the time. The next day she snapped a scoreless tie with 16:37 left giving Montclair a 1-0 lead in a 2-1 win against RPI. Struss is currently tied for second in the conference in both goals and points.
