Roth totaled five first-place finishes, a second and two thirds in eight events as MSU went 1-1 last week. Roth won two individual events and added a win in a relay in a 166-128 win at Vassar. He won the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:03.76 and won the 100 fly in a time of 54.26 seconds. Roth was third in the 100 back (56.27) and swam the 2nd leg of the 400 free relay team that posted a winning time of 3:22.51. Against Ramapo in a 171-91 loss he won the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.35 and the 100 fly in 54.68 seconds. He was third in the 200 back (2:06.22) and again swam the 2nd leg of the 400 free relay that placed second in a time of 3:27.03
