Romanowski had an outstanding week as MSU completed its best dual meet season in a decade with three wins, including a pair of NJAC triumphs. Romanowski opened the week winning the 100 freestyle (49.59 seconds) and helping to 400 medley relay to victory as Montclair State downed Vassar 128-102. Three days later he again captured the 100 freestyle (49.58) and swam on the 200 freestyle relay team that registered the top time in the event in a 158-127 victory against local and NJAC rival William Paterson. The next day, the freshman won two individual events and was part of two more relay victors leading the Red Hawks to a 162-100 triumph at Ramapo. Romanowski won the 100 freestyle (49.06) and 200 freestyle (1:47.89) and swam on the winning 400 freestyle (3:20.61) and 200 medley relay (1:39.21) teams. The three wins allowed MSU to finish the year at 9-3 overall, the nine wins the most by Montclair State since 2006.
Romanowski also helped MSU to a win in the 400 free relay (3:20.61) and 200 free relay (1:39.21) at Ramapo. On Wednesday, Romanowski won the 100 free and helped the 400 Medley relay to a win (3:42.18) in a 128-102 home win over Vassar. MSU finished the year at 9-3, its best dual meet record since 2005-06.
