Negra was selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week as she got her 2018 outdoor season off to a fantastic start. Negra, a two-time NJAC champion and All-American in the javelin captured the event as the Red Hawks opened their outdoor season at the Stockton University Invitational on Saturday. Negra posted a distance of 42.41 meters besting the field of 24 competitors by over five meters. The throw is currently No. 1 on the NCAA Division III Outdoor qualifying list.
