Policastro, named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week, helped Montclair State get off to a 2-0 start in the conference as the Red Hawks earned a pair of overtime victories knocking off William Paterson and 16th-ranked The College of New Jersey. The wins also kept MSU unbeaten as it moved to 8-0-1 on the year, the best start in school history. Policastro was brilliant in goal for the Red Hawks making 12 saves and sporting a 0.45 goals against average in the victories. She made five saves in a 2-1 overtime win versus William Paterson on Wednesday and came back with a shutout on seven saves as the Red Hawks handed No. 16 TCNJ its first loss of the season in a 1-0 overtime triumph. Policastro currently ranks second in the NJAC in goals against average (0.23) and is also second in shutouts with five. In addition she is third in save percentage (.905) and ninth in total saves (17).
