Roman sparked the Red Hawks to a 24-14 Homecoming victory over The College of New Jersey last week as MSU snapped a two-game losing streak. The junior running back rushed for 126 yards, topping the 100-yard mark for the second consecutive game, and also scored a pair of touchdowns as Montclair State improved to 3-2 in the NJAC with a win against its longtime rival. He staked the Red Hawks to a 7-0 lead in the second quarter with a two-yard run capping a 12-play, 74 yard drive. Roman then ripped off a 66-yard touchdown on MSU’s first play from scrimmage in the second half extending the lead to 24-7. Roman averaged 4.3 yards per carry in the game and also caught one pass.
