Rubenstein helped Montclair State to its first NJAC win of the season as the Red Hawks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 58-48 win against New Jersey City University. Rubenstein provided a spark off the bench scoring a game-high 18 points, including 10 in the second half. Rubenstein, who also added three rebounds, shot 4-of-6 from the field, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc and was 8-of-10 from the free throw line. His jumper with 2:58 remaining gave Montclair State a 55-45 lead and he later added two free throws in the closing minutes to help preserve the win. Later in the week, he had 13 points and four rebounds in a road loss at Rutgers-Camden. For the season, Rubenstein is averaging 10.9 points per game and has hit 12 times from three-point range.
