Greensboro, NC – Senior third baseman CRAIG CONWAY went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI helping Montclair State bounce back from its loss on Tuesday with a 14-2 victory at Greensboro College at World War Memorial Stadium.

Conway also closed out the game with a scoreless ninth inning as the Red Hawks (3-2) evened their record at 1-1 on their spring break trip through North Carolina. DAVE WURST, FRANK LONGO and SCOTT ALLAN each drove in two runs for Montclair, which collected 14 hits.

The Red Hawks erupted for seven runs in the second inning to break open a scoreless game. Wurst plated the first two with a single scoring George Backer and CHRIS BARAN. Longo later followed with a two-run triple and Conway's RBI double pushed the score to 5-0. BRIAN ELLERSON singled home the sixth run before coming home on a wild pitch to cap the scoring.

Another wild pitch in the fourth allowed Conway to score with Baran adding another run on a ground out as the lead grew to 9-0. Conway pushed the lead to 10-0 with a run-scoring double that score MATT BECHT.
Greensboro broke the shutout in the seventh with two runs.
