FRANK LONGO drove in two of his three RBI during a five-run first inning as Montclair State posted its second straight victory with an 11-1 win against Rensselaer on Monday afternoon at Yogi Berra Stadium.
Senior third baseman
CRAIG CONWAY had two hits and an RBI for the Red Hawks (8-6), whose last two wins have come by the identical 11-1 margins.
Second baseman
DAVE WURST was hit by a pitch to lead off the first inning and scored two batters later as Conway doubled to left for the game's first run. Montclair loaded the bases before Longo stroked a two-run double to center for a 3-0 lead with
JEFF SCHRIBER and
GEORGE BECKER each recording RBIs for the five-run cushion.
SCOTT ALLAN and Schriber each had a sacrifice fly in the second and third innings, respectively with Montclair tallying three runs in the fourth for a 10-0 lead. Longo provided the first run with a single with Schriber bringing home two more on a base hit to right-center field.
