Montclair, NJ - Several members of the Montclair State University indoor track and field teams participated in the prestigious 2002 Millrose Games held at Madison Garden in New York City on Friday, Feb. 1.
The MSU Men's 4x400 Relay team won its heat in a time of 3:28.87 minutes, edging the University of Albany (3:30.13). TOM BALDWIN finished 12th in the Men's 3,000-Meter Feature Race in a time of 9:23.34 minutes.
Other Red Hawks posted impressive performances at the Third Annual Dick DeSchriver Track and Field Invitational at East Stroudsburg (PA) University on Saturday, Feb. 2. TIERRA HICKS won the Women's 400 Dash in 57.96 seconds, and placed fourth in the Women's 55 Hurdles (8.91). OSEI BONSU finished fourth in the Men's 55 Hurdles (7.83), as did ERNEST TYMES in the Long Jump (22-3). NICK GREGORIO placed third in the Men's Shot Put (52-1).
MSU will next compete at the CTC Championships in the Bronx, NY on Saturday, Feb. 9, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
