Glassboro, NJ - The Montclair State University baseball team dropped its fourth straight decision today, falling at Rowan University, 3-1.
CHRIS BARAN had one hit for Montclair, breaking up ano-hitter in the top of the ninth. He would later score MSU's only run off an RBI single by
JOE GIACOMIAZZIO to break up the shutout.
JAMES SUROWIEC took the loss for MSU, surrendering three earned runs, four hits and four walks while striking out six batters over seven innings. The host Profs scored twice in the first inning, and then added an insurance run in the fourth frame for a 3-0 advantage.
MSU is now 21-12 overall, and finished 10-8 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
