Trinity (TX) Powers Past Montclair, 14-9

San Antonio, TX - Kenneth Sharp was 4-5 as Trinity University pounded 17 hits en route to a 14-9 victory Friday evening in San Antonio, TX.

Sharp's performance included a two run homerun and an RBI triple for the Tigers (11-2). DANNY RODRIGUEZ (Monmouth, NJ/S. Brunswick) and BRIAN SHEEKEY (Palm Coast, FL/Father Lopez) each had two hits for Montclair State (2-6).
The Tigers and Red Hawks exchanged leads four times during the ballgame, which included 28 hits.

The game's big offensive production occurred in the 5th as the Red Hawks plated five runs on four hits and the Tigers responded with six runs on four hits. MSU received RBI singles from senior JOE GIACOMIAZZIO (E. Brunswick, NJ/E. Brunswick) and Sheekey, an RBI fielder's choice by designated hitter TOMMY WARTH (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) and a two RBI double from junior PJ Baccarella (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne).

Reliever STEVE HAGEMANN (Sussex, NJ/Vernon Twsp) suffered the loss for the Red Hawks. Hagemann (0-1) allowed two runs on one hit.

Offensively for Montclair, Baccarella finished 1-3 with 2 RBI while teammates ETHAN BOYD (Perth Amboy, NJ/Perth Amboy), Giacomiazzio and Warth each had an RBI in the loss.
