San Antonio, TX - JON MARZELLA (Cedar Knolls, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) was 4-6 as Montclair State defeated Millsaps (MS) Saturday afternoon in their Texas spring trip finale by the final of 11-3 at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.

The Red Hawks (3-6) pounded 17 hits on the afternoon to raise their season batting average to .310.

The Red Hawks eventual winning run came across in the top of the fourth inning as senior JOE GIACOMIAZZIO (E. Brunswick, NJ/E. Brunswick) doubled home MIKE WEISS (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape Regional) for a 4-3 lead.
KEITH SCHNEIDER (Pompton Plains. NJ/Pequannock) earned the win in relief for the Red Hawks. Schneider(1-1) tossed five innings allowing no runs on four hits, including three strikeouts.

Montclair's offensive included two RBI performances from ETHAN BOYD (Perth Amboy, NJ/Perth Amboy), BRIAN SHEEKEY (Palm Coast, FL/Father Lopez) and Giacomiazzio. The Red Hawk's PJ Baccarella (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) also finished 3-6 in the offensive effort.
