Ithaca, NY - Sixth-ranked Ithaca College collected 13 runs and 13 hits before the rains came as the Bombers pounded Montclair State, 13-0 in a five-inning game at Freeman Field on Friday afternoon.
Tom O'Connor allowed just two hits and struck out four as Ithaca handed Montclair State its second straight loss. The Red Hawks fell to 23-16 on the season.
After a scoreless first inning, the Bombers put two on the board in the second a Ben McBride homered to lead off the inning and Rob Itz added an RBI single. Ithaca added three more the following inning courtesy of Joe Cavano, who belted a three-run homer off starter

Ithaca would pull away quickly in the fourth as it scored seven times, highlighted by Cory Giroux's two-run single.
Ellerson (3-3) suffered the loss. O'Connor improved to 11-1 with the victory.
DANNY RODRIGUEZ (Monmouth, NJ/So. Brunswick) and
ROB BLACKBURN (Vernon, NJ/Sussex) accounted for the two Red Hawk hits.
