Montclair, NJ (12/7/05) – The Montclair State men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell to Division I Seton Hall University in a dual meet at the Panzer Pool on Thursday evening.
The Pirate men posted a 124-92 victory to improve to 2-3 on the year while Montclair State had its four-meet win streak snapped, falling to 4-2.The Seton Hall women picked up their first victory of the season (1-3) with a 151-80 triumph over MSU (3-3).
Mike La Rosa won the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.68 and then added a victory in the 100 fly as he swam 55.76. Matt Miklius took first in the 1000 freestyle (10:04.52) while Matt Farber won the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:49.96. Other winners for Seton Hall included Chris Prus, who won the 400 IM (4:20.73) and Steve Falcone in the 100 free (49.55). Andrew Wilson captured the 500 freestyle (4:58.33) and Zach Smith won the second portion of the diving event (183.00). The Pirates 200 medley relay team of Prus, Tim Curran , Angelo D'Erico and Matt Rienzo posted a time of 1:41.99 to claim that event.

BRYANT EDWARDS took first in the opening portion of the diving event. Edwards posted a scored of 133.60.
JOHN ADAMS won the 100 backstroke (55.80) and Drew Decagna was victorious in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.32).
Ottenbreit helped the women's 200 medley relay team to a victory in the opening event of the meet. Ottenbreit was joined by Hannah Meyer, Ashley Johnston and Trudy Wojciehowski as the quartet posted a time of 1:56.44. Ottenbreit then captured the 400 IM with a time of 4:54.48 and completed her meet by winning the 100 backstroke (1:03.73). Jessica Kolackovsky won two events – the 1000 freestyle (11:07.47) and the 200 free (2:04.27), while Christine Zuffante took first in the 100 fly (1:00.67). Wojciehowski won the 100 free (56.46) and Laura Dubendorfer won both sections of the diving competition. Meghan Dennis took first in the 500 freestyle (5:33.11).
KRISTINE BATES won the 50 free for MSU (26.55) which also got a first-place finish by
TRACEY GROEL in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.82).
Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, December 10 when they host Misericordia at the Panzer Pool at 1:00 pm.
