Port Charlotte, FL – One day after a heartbreaking loss to Heidelberg University, the Montclair State baseball team was stunned again as Baldwin Wallace scored six times in the bottom of the ninth for a 9-8 win over the Red Hawks in the Snowbird Classic on Tuesday.
The Red Hawks fell to 0-3 on the season with their third consecutive one-run loss in as many days.

ANDERSON ROSA and
HECTOR GONZALEZ each drove in a pair of runs for MSU.
The Red Hawks grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first as Gonzalez tripled home
RYAN LONG with the game's first run.
PHILIP SCOTT followed with a ground out scoring Gonzalez for the 2-0 lead. The Yellowjackets (3-0) got a run back in the bottom of the inning and tied the game in the fourth before Montclair State regained the lead with a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
Rosa singled through the right side scoring Gonzalez as MSU went back in front 3-2.
RYAN LONG added an RBI single and a Gonzalez grounder brought in
KEVIN ALONSO for a 5-2 MSU advantage. After Baldwin Wallace gor a run back in the both, Montclair appeared to tack on some insurance runs in the ninth as Reynolds doubled home two and Rosa's RBI single made the score 8-3.
But MSU couldn't hold on to the lead as Baldwin Wallace strung together six consecutive hits with one out scoring six times with the winning run crossing the plate when the Red Hawks threw the ball away.
Junior lefthander
MICHAEL MACCHIA went 7 1/3 innings allowing seven hits and three runs (two earned). He struck out four and walked three.
ANTHONY DEBLASIO (0-2) took the loss in relief. Rosa finished the day 3-for-4 at the plate while Gonzalez, Scott and Reynolds all had two hits to pace an 11-hit attack for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State goes right back to work with an early 10:00 am contest against Heidelberg looking to avenge their 7-6 loss on Monday.
