Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's swimming and diving team evened its record at 3-3 overall as the Red Hawks defeated Kean University 95-72 at the Panzer Athletic Center Pool on Monday evening.
Junior
CLAIRE LUIGARD won two events leading a 1-2 finish in both the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle. Luigard swam 1:03.09 to win the 100 butterfly with
PONSEE IBRAHIM coming in second at 1:09.80. Luigard's second victory in the 500 free came with a time of 5:47.03.
DANI ZIMMERMAN was second clocking in at 6:04.44.
TAYLOR WADDLETON and
SOPHIA CIARAVINO were first and second respectively in the 200 freestyle with times of 2:11.08 and 2:11.69.
MARGAUX WINCHOCK, another double-winner, swam 26.21 seconds to capture the 50 freestyle as
ERIANNA NGUYEN (26.46) placed second.
MADISON FRANKE was a winner in the 200 IM (2:21.32) with
NATALIE WALL going 2:25.35 for second place.
Winchock added her second win in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.40 seconds.MSU won the 200 medley relay as
COURTNEY MUNRO, Franke, Zimmerman and Winchock recorded a time of 1:57.70.
The Red Hawks are back in action next Friday, November 16 when they compete in the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, PA.
