Montclair, NJ – The No. 15 Montclair State men's soccer team hits the road to battle The College of New Jersey in New Jersey Athletic Conference action Saturday.

The Red Hawks (9-1-1, 3-0-0 NJAC) notched their fifth consecutive victory and fifth consecutive clean sheet with a 3-0 blanking of Kean University Wednesday. Junior JOSIAH CRAWFORD tallied two goals while rookie REED KARSEN converted a penalty kick to aid in the win.

IN THE RANKINGS

In the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, the Red Hawks entered the rankings at No. 15. They opened the season at No. 8 before dropping out after suffering their lone loss to NYU. In the Region IV Rankings, Montclair State climbed up two spots to No. 2, right behind NYU.

SCOUTING THE LIONS

The Lions come into the game with a 3-6-1, 1-1-1 NJAC record, dropping their last match to Rowan 1-0. TCNJ surrendered the lone of the game in the 60th minute and were outshot 20-6. This season, the two sides have competed against Moravian, and both Montclair State and TCNJ drew with the Greyhounds.
 
LAST MEETING

In their last meeting, the Red Hawks earned a 3-1 victory over the Lions on October 26, 2019. In a physical game that featured nine yellow cards, the Red Hawks received goals from Jose Huerta, Michael Knapp, and Oscar Sanchez, while Dean DePinto earned the win with three saves.
 
SERIES HISTORY

TCNJ holds a 37-23-6 record against the Red Hawks and went unbeaten against MSU from 1996-2002. The Red Hawks have gained a win or draw in four of the last five games, with the lone setback coming in 2017.
