DORIAN GASHI each collected one final NJAC Weekly honor for the season as the pair were named Defensive Player and Defensive Rookie of the Week on Sunday.
Ramos earned his second honor of the season as he matched a career-best with 13 tackles in the Red Hawks' season finale at Kean. The Kenilworth, NJ native also had two sacks, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries against the Cougars. Ramos finished the year as Montclair's leading tackler with 72 and also had two interceptions, four pass break ups, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
Gashi was chosen for the fifth time, surpassing Dan Avento's mark of four Defensive Rookie of the Week awards set in 2010. Gashi totaled eight tackles and had two for losses along with a quarterback hurry. The Fairfield, NJ native ended his first season with 50 tackles (third on the team), including 8.5 for loss and one sack.
