Soccer's Kraemer, Track's To Named Highest GPA Recipients

Montclair, NJ – Junior soccer midfielder KYLINN KRAEMER and track and field senior NORIAKI TO were named the recipients of the Highest GPA Award for the 2020-21 academic year.

The award is presented to the Montclair State male and female student-athlete who has achieved the highest cumulative GPA while accumulating 90 or more credits.

Kraemer becomes the seventh women's soccer player to earn the honor since the award was first presented in the early 1990s. She joins Renee Harraka (1996), Amy O'Connor (2009), Christina Caamano (2010), Katie Hazzard (2011), Allison Wacker (2013) and current assistant coach Erin Sullivan (2017) as recipients from the program.

An NJAC Academic Team member in 2020, Kraemer has appeared in 38 games for the Red Hawks and last season helped MSU to the conference title game. A member of the Dean's List, Kraemer is also President of the Montclair State Petey Greene Program where students learn and advocate for criminal justice reform.

To is the first men's track and field athlete to win the award. Like Kraemer, To is a member of the Dean's List and a two-time NJAC Academic Team recipient in addition to be inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society (Chi Alpha Sigma) in 2020. To is off to a solid start this outdoor season, placing fifth in the 100 meters at the Ramapo Mini Meet last Friday while helping the 4x400 relay team to a victory.
