Red Hawks Look to Return to Winning Ways as They Face Moravian

Montclair, NJ - After a setback in their last match, the Montclair State men's soccer goes out on the road to face Moravian University Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks suffered their first loss of the season Saturday, dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to New York University. AMER LUKOVIC opened the scoring with his fifth tally, but NYU scored the final two, including the game-winner with 2:20 left in the first overtime period.

AWARD SEASON
After being named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week last week, Lukovic was tabbed as the NJAC Rookie of the Week. He posted a pair of assists in a win over Hunter before scoring the lone marker against NYU.

SCOUTING MORAVIAN
The Greyhounds enter the match with a 3-1 record, with their last two victories coming against NJAC opponents TCNJ and Rutgers-Newark. The Greyhounds fell behind 2-0 to TCNJ before responding with three straight tallies in a 3-2 win, the final coming in overtime. Reed Sturza was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week after tallying four goals and an assist in three games.

The Red Hawks are 5-0-1 in six previous meetings with Moravian, surrendering just one goal. After giving up a goal in a 2-1 win on September 7, 1991, the Red Hawks have blanked Moravian in the last five matchups, including a 0-0 draw in 2017.
