Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State women's soccer team hits the road Wednesday afternoon for a 4 pm match against DeSales University.

LAST TIME OUT
Montclair State bounced back from their first loss of the year with a 3-1 victory over Ursinus College Saturday. Graduate student ZOE STECK opened the scoring in the 18th minute before SAMANTHA GABRIELE and CHISOM ONYEWUENYI tallied second-half goals in the win. LINDSAY FREEWALT made her first start of the year and collected three saves in the win.

SCOUTING DESALES
DeSales is a perfect 4-0 on the season and have surrendered just one goal. On Saturday, they routed Gwynedd Mercy 9-0, scoring six times in the first half. Nine different student-athletes tallied goals in the victory, while Jozlyn Minnema and Hannah Pacheco combined on the shutout.

LAST MEETING
DeSales notched a 2-1 win in the last meeting on October 1, 2019. DeSales opened the game with a sixth-minute goal before Emily Beenders leveled the game in the 71st minute off a feed from EMILY DEGEYTER. With just four seconds left in overtime, the Bulldogs scored the game-winning goal to escape with a 2-1 win. LINDSAY FREEWALT made eight saves in that match for Montclair State.
