Montclair, NJ – The fourth-seeded Montclair State field hockey team visits top-seeded Rowan University in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Semifinals

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (10-8, 3-3 NJAC) fell 3-0 to The College of New Jersey Saturday afternoon. LAUREN PICKUL made seven saves in the setback, with TORI SUTERA tallying a pair of shots on goal.

SCOUTING ROWAN
Rowan enters the contest with a 17-1 record and finished the NJAC season with a perfect 6-0 mark. Their lone setback came at the hands of Salisbury on October 19, but they have notched three wins since.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 17-58-1 all-time against Rowan and has dropped the last five meetings. Montclair State's previous victory came on October 15, 2016, in a 2-0 triumph.

LAST MEETING
The Profs tallied a 3-1 win over MSU on October 22. CARLIE VAN TASSEL opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Rowan notched three second-half goals to seal the victory.

PLAYOFF HISTORY
The Red Hawks are making their first appearance in the NJAC Tournament since 2018 and are 6-6 in the tournament. Against Rowan, Montclair is 2-2, including a win in the NJAC Championship Game in 2012.
 
UP NEXT
The winner of this semifinal will face the winner of No. 2 TCNJ and No. 3 Kean in the NJAC Championship Saturday, with the NJAC Automatic Qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
