Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State field hockey team saw six of its players named 2021 NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction.

CLAUDIA CHALLENDER, KYLIE COMPTON, KATELYN OSTERLIND, LAUREN PICKUL, PAIGE SANTOS and MADDIE SPOLARICH were each chosen. The six student-athletes were among the 500-plus recognized for the program, which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year.

The six players were also named to the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad which was announced last week. The Red Hawks had 17 players selected for that honor.
