JOE NORTON went 5-for-7 with four RBI as Montclair State scored in all but innings in a 15-0 victory over Stevens in the first game of a weekend series at Dobbelaar Field on Friday afternoon.

Cosentino gave Montclair State a 2-0 lead. The Red Hawks added two more in the fourth inning and tacked on four in the fifth.
MICHAEL MURPHY drove in the first with a ground out, and
ANDREW OLLWERTHER came home on an error, widening the lead to six runs. A

JASON MOORE, before Norton smacked an RBI single for an 8-0 advantage.Cosentino launched his fourth home run of the year in the sixth. MSU scored three times each in the eighth and ninth innings. Malek plated the first run in the eighth inning with a base hit, and Norton delivered two more with his fifth hit, the first Red Hawks to register five hits in a game since Ollwerther versus Rutgers-Camden in 2021.
Guarino (two RBI) and Malek (one RBI) accounted for the final runs in the ninth.
The offensive barrage was more than enough for Cuccurullo and Tiplady. Cuccurullo (2-1) went the first six innings allowing three hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Tiplady fanned five over the final three innings to record his first career save.
The two teams are scheduled to play again on Saturday, March 5, in a doubleheader at Rutgers University, with the first pitch scheduled for 11:00 am.
