Kutztown, Pa.- The Montclair State Women's Swimming and Diving Team swept the competition in their tri-meet today when they defeated Kutztown, 172-89 and edged East Stroudsburg, 132-129 on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- SOPHIA SHOPOVICK and MARIANNE TASSINARI, led the way for the Red Hawks with both of them collecting two individual wins today. Shopovick clinched first in both the 100 back (1:01.40) and the 200 back (2:15.69) while Tassinari touched first in the 200 breast (2:31.54) and the 400 IM (4:46.84). Tassinari also saw a second-place finish in the 200 free when she clocked a 2:02.49.
- Montclair also saw individual win from ROURKE PERALTA, who swam a winning time of 24.37 in the 50 free. She also collected two second-place finishes in the 100 free (54.23) and 100 fly (1:01.84).
- The 200 medley relay team also helped secure the wins today as well. The squad of Shopovick, ABBY BROCK, MADELINE ROGERS, and Peralta outraced the field with a team time of 1:51.78.

Montclair State University will stay on the road and will travel to face off in a dual meet against Vassar on Friday, November 1. That meet is scheduled for a 6:00pm start
