Men's Indoor Track & Field Ties For 11th At AARTFC Indoor Regionals

Rochester, NY – The Montclair State University men's indoor track & field tied for 11th at the AARTFC Indoor Regional Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED

JABEZ THOMAS placed second in the triple jump, hitting 14.39m on his final try of the day. He was one of five overall to clear 14 meters and ranked 17th nationally in the event. His distance of 14.39m was .4 meters off his career-best indoors.
Teammate BECK DEENY took fifth in the triple jump, hitting an indoor PR of 14.06m. It marked the first time in his career he went over 14 meters. JALANI JOSEPH picked up ninth place in the triple jump (13.76m) and high jump (1.87m).
JOHN GRIFFITH, who competed in the shot put yesterday, took fifth in the weight throw. The senior reached 17.12 on his last try.
SEBASTIAN RUIZ took 14th in the 800, clocking in at 1:59.87. The 4x200 relay squad of ANTHONY HOLMES, NICHOLAS SCHAFFER, SHELDON AGYEMANG, and DANIEL ALSINA were the final competitors as they finished in 1:42.21.

With the indoor season complete, the Red Hawks open their outdoor slate at the Ramapo College Season Opener on March 29-30.
