The Red Hawks took fourth at the NJAC Championships last weekend.
JOHN GRIFFITH tallied his second second-place finish of the weekend, throwing 15.49m in the shot put. His throw was one of two that reached 15m+ among all competitors and marked a season-best distance for the senior. He took fifth in the discus, throwing 45.37m, his third-best mark of the season.
BECK DEENY placed third in the triple jump, hitting a season-best mark of 13.86m. Deeny was .05m out of first place and missed second by a mere .01m as Daniel Bamfo of Farmingdale State clipped him.
JOSEPH BIO qualified for the finals in the 400-hurdles and clocked in with a mark of 57.75 to finish seventh.
KAMAL KHAN was 10th in the 1,500 (4:07.97) , while
DAMJAN DIMITROVSKI (1:57.47) and
SEBASTIAN RUIZ (1:57.73) were seventh and eighth in the 800. Montclair took fifth in both relays, as the 4x100 team of
ANTHONY HOLMES,
NICHOLAS SCHAFFER,
DANIEL ALSINA, and
KEYSHAWN DIXON notched a time of 43.05. The foursome of Alsina, Dimitrovski,
COURTNEY ROGERS JR., and Schaffer recorded a time of 3:25.24 in the 4x400.
JABEZ THOMAS was seventh in the triple jump, hitting 13.27m.
