Montclair fell to #15 Cortland 3-1 to open the 2024 season on August 30. The Dragons opened the scoring in the 25th minute on a tap-in at the right post, and struck in the opening five minutes of the second half on a breakaway to double their advantage. After Cortland opened the lead to three in the fourth, the Red Hawks answered as NATALIE SURMA redirected the ball in front of the net on a feed from GAB MAISTO. MCKENNA LAMAN matched her career-high of seven saves in the contest.

SCOUTING MARYWOOD
The Pacers fell 2-1 in their season opener to Vassar on August 30. Marywood will look to build off their 14-5 campaign in 2023, where they won five out of six conference games. The Pacers took down Immaculata 2-0 in the American East Conference Tournament Semifinals before falling 1-0 to St. Mary's College of Maryland in the Final. They were selected first in the 2024 American East Conference Preseason Coaches Poll and received four first place votes.
