Men's Track & Field Competes at Ramapo Opener

New York, NY – The Montclair State University men's track & field team competed in the Ramapo Opener to kick off their 2025 slate on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Red Hawks were led by a season-best from JALANI JOSEPH, who notched a sixth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.87m.
JOSEPH BIO notched a time of 9.01 in the prelims of the 60m hurdles, and cleared nine seconds in the final of the event with a mark of 8.93.
In the 200m, ANTHONY HOLMES notched a 35th place finish with a mark of 23.39, with Leo Caramelliclose behind at 23.49.
KYESHAUN SYLVESTER led the way for Montclair in the 400m, finishing ninth with a time of 51.39. DAMJAN DIMITROVSKI tallied a mark of 52.76 in the event.
In the long jump, the duo of SHELDON AGYEMANG (6.41m) and BRYCE FOSTER (6.38m) ranked 16th and 17th in the event.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

Bio and Dimitrovski each notched new personal bests during the afternoon along with ABDUL ABDUL-GANIYU, who ran a 7.46 in the 60m.
VAN DALTON tallied a new season-best in the 60m with a time of 7.78.

The Red Hawks will send BECK DEENY to compete in the triple jump at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on Saturday, January 25 at the NYC Armory.
