Union, NJ – The Montclair State Women's Swimming & Diving team (9-2) saw a split in their trip to Union, NJ when they defeated Millersville, 142-118, but fell to NJAC foe and host Kean, 160-100 in tri-match action on Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- ROURKE PERALTA again led the way with two first-place finishes on the day. She touched the wall first in the 50 free (24.21) and the 100 free (55.09). She also placed third in the 200 free with a time of 2:03.64.
- JULIE TIEDEMANN was the other Red Hawks who secured a win on the evening. She placed first in the 1000 free when she clocked a 10:54.32.
- The Red Hawks also saw significant contributions from ABBY BROCK, SARAH FONDACARO, and MARIANNE TASSINARI. Brock touched the wall second in the 100 breast (1:08.85), followed directly by Fondacaro who placed third (1:10.36). Tassanari saw a second-place finish in the 200 breast (2:32.35) and a third-place finish in the 200 IM (2:17.03).
