Minneapolis, Minnesota — D3football.com announced Thursday afternoon that Montclair State football seniors
ARNOLD YOUNG and
KEYSHAWN DIXON have been named Fourth Team All-Americans for their performances during the 2024 season.
Young earned this distinction after being named to the First Team All-Region 2 by D3football.com. The 2024 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-NJAC First-Team selection led the NJAC in tackles for loss (18.5) and sacks (10). His 18.5 tackles for loss ranked 10th nationally in Division III, averaging 1.8 per game during the regular season. Young also recorded 44 tackles, 16 quarterback pressures, and one fumble recovery. His standout performance came against nationally ranked Salisbury, where he registered three sacks and recovered a fumble. Additionally, Young was named an AP Second Team All-American this season.
Dixon earned his second honor from D3football.com after being named a Second Team All-Region 2 player in December. The First Team All-NJAC honoree played in all 10 games for the Red Hawks and made significant contributions on special teams, including kickoff, kickoff return, punt, punt return, and field goal/PAT block units. Dixon recorded 12 tackles for the season, including seven solo tackles, and led the team with three blocked kicks. His three blocked kicks rank third all-time for a single season in program history.
Both Young and Dixon become the first Fourth Team honorees in program history and the first Montclair State players to earn D3football.com All-American status since Zach Wilder in the Spring 2021 season. Young is the first defensive lineman to achieve this honor since Chris Merkle in 2009, while Dixon is the first player to earn it as a special teams standout. This also marks the first time since 2014 that the Red Hawks have had multiple D3football.com All-Americans when Eric Gargiulo and C.J. Conway were named to the list.
