Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University Men's Swimming and Diving team hosts its first dual meet of the season when it welcomes in NJAC foe Rowan on Friday

LAST TIME OUT
Montclair opened the season on October 4 at the College of Staten Island Kick-Off Invite and won with 226 points. The Red Hawks opened with a victory in the 200-freestyle relay by (1:27.23). The quartet consisted of BOBBY FREECE, PETER JARZAB, MICHAEL WOJCIECHOWICZ, and MAX SMILEVSKI. MICHAEL SALVATORI doubled up with wins in the 200 IM (1:58.75) and 400 IM (4:19.06), while VINCENT TERZO added third in the 200 IM (2:05.18). In the sprints, Freece swept the 50 free (21.98) and 100 free (48.26), with Jarzab second in the 50 free (22.35) and Wojciechowicz third in the 100 free (49.45). Montclair saw a top-three standing in the 200 free, led by Freece's win (1:47.02), Smilevski second (1:49.05), and DARREN ROCKWELL third (1:53.00). Terzo took second in the 1000 free (10:18.86), with Salvatori third (10:32.09). Jarzab won the 100 fly (51.88), while ADRIAN GONZALEZ placed third (53.24). FILIP SALEK captured the 200 breast (2:14.93), joined by JORDAN LEDBETTER in third (2:18.51). MASON DRANCHAK finished second in the 100 back (56.32), and Salvatori was runner-up in the 200 back (1:56.82). The Red Hawks also claimed the 400-medley relay (3:38.41) and placed second in the 200-medley relay (1:42.37). Jarzab notched another victory in the 200 fly (1:59.95), with Gonzalez third (2:04.95). In the 100 breast, MATT DETTLINGER was second (1:01.95) and Salek third (1:02.30). Terzo touched second in the 500 free (4:56.00) and ALEX PASQUINI third (5:06.55).
