LAST TIME OUT
Montclair played its final home game of the season and was bested by #21 TCNJ, 6-0 on Saturday. The Lions drew the first score of the game in the 10th minute with a nice pass pushed through the Red Hawk defense to its scorer right in front of the cage to take the lead. That was one of only two shots in the frame, and the game went 1-0 into the second period. Montclair saw an early penalty corner in the second quarter, but SADIE EICHLIN's shot sailed just over the cage. TCNJ doubled its lead at the 21:35 time stamp, similar to its first goal, and eventually took a 2-0 lead into the second half. TCNJ went on the attack early with several shots in the first seven minutes of the third quarter. Four shots went on goal, but SYDNEY WHITE denied all. One finally broke through for the Lions at the 41:04 mark to take a 3-0 lead. The fourth period was where the Lions truly broke away in the contest. They scored two goals within a minute of each other in the 50th and 51st minutes of the game to push the game to 5-0. They fired in one more at the 54:05 time stamp for its 6-0 advantage. Montclair saw two penalty corner opportunities as time expired, but were unable to put shots on goal, and the game went final.
