LAST TIME OUT
Montclair dropped its road matchup on Saturday at Kean, 1-0. Kean was on the attack for most of the first period. An early shot off a penalty corner for the Cougars was blocked. In the 10th minute, Kean had found two shots back-to-back, one was blocked, and another was denied by Red Hawk goalkeeper SYDNEY WHITE. SADIE EICHLIN took the lone shot for Montclair in the 13th minute but was blocked. The Red Hawks saw three penalty corners and three shots on goal in the first five minutes of the second period, but had all their shots saved. Kean controlled the middle portion of the period and, eventually at the 28:45 timestamp, broke the scoreless tie and took a 1-0 lead into half. Both teams only had a shot apiece in the third period. COLLEEN MCGAVIN fired a shot onto the cage about two and a half minutes into the second half, but it was saved. Kean's shot was blocked in the 36th minute, and the game went into the fourth period still 1-0. The Cougars were in the driver's seat all of the fourth period. They held Montclair to zero shots and took nine of their own. White was spectacular in the quarter, saving seven shots, but the lack of offensive presence hurt the Red Hawks, and they fell on the road.
