Pitman, NJ- Announced on Monday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference office, Montclair State University saw three of its student-athletes get awarded as athletes of the week for their performances from October 27 to November 2.

SYDNEY WHITE from field hockey was named Defensive Player of the Week, while
AUDREY HITCHENS and
RYDER BALAYÂ were both named Divers of the Week for men's and women's swimming and diving.

White was phenomenal in Montclair's final week of the season. She totaled 29 saves on the week and went 1-1 in the cage with a shutout. On Wednesday, she had a 14-save shutout during a 3-0 win at SUNY New Paltz. She came back on Saturday at Rowan and totaled a career-high 15 saves in the contest.

Hitchens led the way in diving for Montclair during a 173-115 victory against Vassar on Friday. She posted scores of 158.55 and 216.45 en route to a first-place finish.

Balay came away with a win during his first dive attempts of the season during Montclair's 144-115 triumph on Friday against Vassar. He posted scores of 115.95 and 145.28 in the victory.Â

White and Hitchens both earn these honors for the second time in their respective seasons, while Balay earns his first-ever NJAC weekly award.
