Pitman, NJ- As announced on Thursday evening by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, the Montclair State University women's basketball team is the projected runner-up in the league this season, according to the 2025-26 Preseason Poll.

Montclair State heads into the season as the defending champions after a 24-5 overall record and a 15-3 NJAC record. They were the second seed in the conference last season and bested William Paterson in the semifinals and TCNJ in the championship to hoist the NJAC trophy for the eighth time in program history.
The Red Hawks tip off the 2025-26 season on Friday, November 7, with a home matchup against Albright at 5:30 p.m.
