Kansas City, MO- Announced on Tuesday morning by the United Soccer Coaches organization, the Montclair State University women's soccer team landed five of its student athletes on the All-Region IV list for 2025.
Headlining the selections were
KYLIE PRENDERGAST,
SALANGE BELL, and
SHANNON MULLINS, who each were named to the First Team.
ARIA HICKS earned a bid on the Second Team, and
EMILY SCHULER was named to the Third Team.
Prendergast rounded out her career with her fourth-straight selection to the All-Region IV list, but her first as a First Team selection (Three Second Team Accolades. The NJAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-NJAC standout led the Red Hawks with 33 points on 14 goals and five assists in 1,377 minutes and started all 20 matches. She closed the regular season with a goal contribution in each of Montclair's final eight matches, scoring the game-winning goal in the last three. Prendergast also scored twice — including the game-winner — in the NJAC semifinal win over NJCU.
Bell follows up her Second Team All-Region IV selection last season with one on the First Team. The back-to-back NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year and All-NJAC First Team honoree started all 20 games in net for the Red Hawks. She went 12-1-6 in goal and amassed eight shutouts on the season, three of them coming in conference play. She tallied 61 saves, an .824 save percentage, and a .66 goals against average. Bell also came up clutch in the NJAC Championship game, where she fired in the go-ahead penalty kick and made the championship-sealing save to propel Montclair to an NJAC title.
Mullins earned her first appearance on the All-Region Team with her First Team selection. The 2025 NJAC Midfielder of the Year and a First Team All-NJAC selection, Mullins produced 20 points on nine goals and two assists while logging 1,498 minutes in 19 starts. During an eight-game stretch in October, she recorded nine goal contributions, including game-winning goals against Kean and Western Connecticut. She also tallied two assists, one of which came on the deciding goal against William Paterson on October 15.
Hicks was named an All-Region IV selection for the first time in her career, with her mention as a Second Team selection. She received a First Team All-NJAC selection after anchoring one of the league's best defenses, starting every game and collecting 1,650 minutes along the back line. Montclair allowed just 10 goals during the regular season, the second-fewest in the NJAC. The team also ranked second in the league in shutouts with nine, as Hicks started all of them and played over 70 minutes in eight of them.
Schuler wrapped up her career with her first All-Region selection as a member of the Third Team. She earned First Team All-NJAC honors after being named to the Second Team in 2024. The midfielder started all 20 games during the season, logging 1,516 minutes while tallying an assist against Penn State Berks on September 8. Defensively, she helped contribute to Montclair's nine shutouts on the season, ranking second in the league. The senior has started all but one game in her career and has logged over 5,500 minutes during her time with the Red Hawks.
Montclair State women's soccer capped a historic 2025 campaign with a 13-1-6 overall record and a 7-0-2 mark in NJAC play. The Red Hawks won both the NJAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships and remained unbeaten until their 2–0 setback against Colby in the NCAA Tournament first round.
