Gettysburg, Pa. – Montclair State Men's Swimming & Diving sophomore
PETER JARZAB broke the 100 fly record on the second and final day of the Gettysburg Invitational, where Montclair finished second out of six teams with 736.5 points.

How It Happened
- Jarzab's record-breaking performance came in the morning session, where he clocked a 49.08 and finished first in the event. His time broke the previous mark set by Steven Roth in 2017, which was 49.14.
- The morning session also saw MICHAEL SALVATORI victorious among the field in the 400 IM with a time of 4:05.15. In the same event, JORDAN LEDBETTER placed fourth (4:27.36), and JARED GAYNOR placed fifth (4:28.88).
- BOBBY FREECE led the pack in the 200 free when he placed first with a time of 1:43.18. MAX SMILEVSKI tied for third when he clocked 1:44.62, and VINCENT TERZO wrapped up a top-five finish with a time of 1:44.84.
- In the 100 breast, MATT DETTLINGER touched the wall third with a time of 58.60.
- The Red Hawks wrapped up the morning session with a fourth-place finish in the 800-free relay. The quartet of Salvatori, Terzo, Freece, and Smilevski combined for a time of 7:02.29.
- Terzo kicked off the evening session with the 1650 free. He clocked a time of 16:53.98 that was good for a fifth-place finish.
- In the 200 back, Salvatori and ANDREW PEARCE each earned a top-five finish. Salvatori placed third (1:53.41), and Pearce placed fifth (1:59.26).
- Freece earned himself a third-place finish in the 100 free when he clocked a 46.44.
- FILIP SALEK earned himself a third-place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:13.03.
- Jarzab earned himself another impressive showing with a second-place finish in the 200 fly (1:52.08). MASON WOODS and ADRIAN GONZALEZ also cracked the top five, with Woods touching the wall fourth (1:56.58) and Gonzalez fifth (1:59.81).
- The weekend was wrapped up with a fourth-place finish in the 400 free relay. The mashup of Jarzab, Freece, NICHOLAS KIPP, and MICHAEL WOJCIECHOWICZ combined for a time of 3:08.61.
