Men’s Indoor Track & Field Places Fifth at NJAC Championships

Philadelphia, Pa.- The Montclair State University Men's Indoor Track and Field finished in fifth place at the 2025 NJAC Championships with a total of 41 points

HOW IT HAPPENED

Leading the way was HIVEN BIFFOT, who earned a silver medal in the triple jump with a personal-record mark of 14.54m (47' 8.5"). That mark also is the eighth-best mark in the country. He also placed fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.97m (6' 5.5"). That jump made the top 50 in the nation at 47^th.
BECK DEENY and JABEZ THOMAS also saw good placements in the triple jump. Deeny placed fourth with a season-best 14.04m (46' 0.75"), a mark that sits 41^st in the nation. Thomas notched sixth when he jumped 13.51m (44' 4").
JAYSON ELLIS competed in the 60-meter finals after qualifying yesterday. He placed seventh overall with a time of 7.23.
DAMJAN DIMITROVSKI earned a top-five finish in the 800-meter run. He had the fifth-best time in the event with a season-best 1:59.52.
The Red Hawks also saw season-best marks from COURTNEY ROGERS JR. in the 400-meter event and AOSUUTA WYNN in the 200-meter dash. Rogers clocked a 51.61 that placed 19^th while Wynn clocked a 23.08 for 17^th place.
JALANI JOSEPH competed alongside Biffot in the high jump. He posted a mark of 1.82m (5' 11.50") which was good for seventh place.
Montclair also fielded a 4x400 relay team at the championships. The mashup of MILES ALLEN, Dimitrovski, Courtney Rogers, and KYESHAUN SYLVESTER clocked a time of 3:26.82 for a seventh-place finish.

"I think we have the potential to be a very good team this year. I think today we showed some flashes of that. We have a lot to be happy with, but we must continue to stay the course and attack our training to prepare for the outdoor season.
