Pitman, NJ – Freshman guard KABRIEN GOSS and the Montclair State University Men's Basketball coaching staff earned major accolades, while junior forward JACOB MORALES and MIKE JACKSON were both named to the All-NJAC list, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Goss was honored as the NJAC Rookie of the Year, and the Red Hawks' coaching staff, led by head coach Justin Potts, was selected as the NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Morales secured a spot on the All-NJAC First Team, while Jackson was named to the Second Team.
Goss earned NJAC Rookie of the Year honors after starting 19 of 25 games for the Red Hawks. During the 2024-25 season, he averaged 5.4 points per game and recorded 106 assists, ranking fourth in the conference. Additionally, he contributed 34 rebounds and steals. His standout performance came in Montclair's NJAC opener against Rowan, where he scored 16 points. Goss is the Red Hawks' first Rookie of the Year since Myles Mitchell-White received the honor in 2018.

The Red Hawks' coaching staff was named NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the team to an NJAC Regular Season Championship with a 19-6 overall record and a 14-4 conference record. This marks the second time in three seasons that head coach Justin Potts has received a Coach of the Year award from the NJAC.

Morales was selected to the All-NJAC First Team in his first season with Montclair after transferring from Rutgers University. The junior forward ranked fourth in the NJAC in scoring, averaging 20.1 points per game in conference play. He led the NJAC in three-pointers made (94), three-pointers per game (3.8), and three-point percentage (.465), breaking the all-time single-season record for three-pointers made in Red Hawks history. Nationally, Morales' three-pointers made ranked second behind U Maine-Farmington's Simon Chadbourne (100), while his shooting percentage ranked eighth in Division III. He also led Montclair in rebounds (4.7 per game) and contributed 46 steals and 14 blocks. His best game came in a historic 123-92 home win against William Paterson, where he posted a 40-point, 10-rebound double-double, shooting 9-for-11 from three. Morales was also a two-time D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection and a one-time NJAC Player of the Week.

Jackson received All-NJAC honors for the third consecutive season and his second selection to the Second Team. Montclair's all-time leader in three-pointers and fourth-leading scorer averaged 16.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Defensively, he totaled 47 steals, ranking second in the NJAC, along with 23 assists and five blocks. Jackson's standout performance came in Montclair's NJAC opener on November 26, when he scored a season-high 30 points on 11-for-16 shooting. He was also recognized as an NJAC Player of the Week this season.
