Men’s Indoor Track & Field Finds Personal-Bests at Fastrack Invite

Staten Island, NY- The Montclair State University Men's Indoor Track and Field team saw personal-best marks on Friday as they competed at the Fastrack Invite at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Complex

HOW IT HAPPENED

Leading the way for the Red Hawks was ELIAS HANLEY, who smashed a personal-best mark in the long jump with a mark of 6.60m (21 7.75"). That was good for a ninth-place finish and third among DIII schools.
JAYSON ELLIS saw a personal time in the 60m dash when he clocked a time of 7.11.
HIVEN BIFFOT placed fourth among the field and second among DIII schools when he tied his season-best mark of 1.90m (6' 2.75") in the high jump.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

Hanley outdid his previous mark of 6.39m (20' 11.75") that he set last week at the Seamus McElligott Invite. He also earned the team-best mark on the season by .15m.
Ellis outdid his personal-best mark that he set in the season-opener at the Seahawk Shootout on December 13. Biffot tied his season-best from the same meet.

"I feel this was a better performance than last week. I felt the team responded well and had a good week of practice. We still have some things to work on, but it feels good to get back on track. Looking forward to next week's DIII Invitational" Head Coach Ian Carter.
